A Warranty Written To Be Used

We stand behind qualifying permanent work completed under the Spark Shark Electric name. This page explains the promise, the limits, the claim process, and the costs before a problem happens.

Limited Lifetime

Labor Coverage

Diagnosis and corrective labor for qualifying installation errors and eligible Spark Shark-installed part failures.

2 Years

Standard Parts Coverage

In-house coverage for qualifying non-consumable parts supplied and installed by Spark Shark.

5 Years

Shark Club Parts Coverage

Extended in-house parts coverage when membership is active and in good standing when the claim is made.

The Short Version

In this warranty, “lifetime” lasts only while the qualifying owner owns the property, the property remains within Spark Shark’s current published service area, and Spark Shark Electric or an assuming legal successor remains in business and able to perform the work. A later service-area change can end coverage. If qualifying Spark Shark labor was wrong, we correct the labor. If a qualifying Spark Shark-supplied part fails, parts coverage lasts two years, or five years for an eligible Shark Club member. After parts coverage expires, qualifying replacement labor remains covered and the property owner pays for the part.

01

The Warrantor And The Covered Work

This limited warranty is provided by Spark Shark Electric, 2500 N Shields Blvd ste 413, Moore, OK 73160. Call (405) 436-4776 or email theteam@sparkshark.com.

It applies to qualifying permanent electrical work documented on a Spark Shark Electric invoice, estimate, or approved change order. It also applies to verifiable historical work completed under the Spark Shark Electric name, regardless of the completion date. Work invoiced under any other business name is excluded.

The warranty belongs to the property owner. If another person, tenant, property manager, or business paid for the work, the owner holds the warranty rights and may authorize that person to coordinate a claim.

The same coverage terms apply to qualifying residential, commercial, landlord-owned, and other non-owner-occupied properties.

02

Eligibility Requirements

Coverage is available when all applicable requirements below are satisfied:

  • The original invoice is paid in full.
  • The work is documented and was completed as a permanent installation.
  • The claimant is the qualifying property owner or the owner’s authorized representative.
  • The property is within Spark Shark’s current published service area when the claim is made.
  • Spark Shark Electric, or a legal successor that assumes this warranty, remains in business and able to perform the corrective work.
  • The affected work remains eligible under the coverage and exclusion terms below.

Labor coverage begins on the later of the date the work is completed or the date the invoice is paid in full. Parts coverage is measured from the installation-completion date, but the invoice must still be paid in full before a parts claim can be used.

Coverage is suspended while payment is reversed, charged back, refunded, disputed, overdue, or otherwise unresolved. If the owner cannot produce the original invoice, Spark Shark may verify the work and ownership through its own records.

03

Limited Lifetime Labor Coverage

The labor warranty applies across every category of qualifying permanent work performed by Spark Shark. It covers:

  • Diagnosis of a valid warranty issue.
  • Corrective labor when Spark Shark installed qualifying work incorrectly.
  • Corrective labor when an eligible part supplied and installed by Spark Shark fails.
  • Correction of Spark Shark work that did not meet the electrical code, permit requirements, or manufacturer instructions applicable when the work was completed.
  • Repair or reperformance of the affected work by Spark Shark.

If a Spark Shark-installed part fails after its manufacturer and in-house parts coverage has expired, qualifying diagnostic and replacement labor remains covered. The property owner pays for the replacement part and other approved non-labor costs.

Our Remedy Is The Work

For a valid labor claim, Spark Shark will repair or reperform the affected work. The warranty does not provide a cash equivalent, except when another remedy is required by law.

04

What Lifetime Means

“Lifetime” means the period during which all of these conditions remain true:

  • The qualifying owner continues to own the original property.
  • The property remains within Spark Shark’s current published service area.
  • Spark Shark Electric, or a legal successor that assumes the warranty, remains in business and able to perform the work.
  • The claimed issue is otherwise covered and is not excluded under these terms.

An ordinary sale to an unrelated buyer ends coverage. Coverage may continue after a non-sale transfer to a spouse, family trust, heir, or related successor. For commercial or non-owner-occupied property, equivalent transfers to related trusts, entities, or successors may qualify. A qualifying successor must contact Spark Shark and provide reasonable ownership documentation before or when making the first claim. A later sale to an unrelated buyer ends coverage.

05

Limited In-House Parts Coverage

In-house parts coverage applies to qualifying non-consumable parts, materials, and equipment supplied and installed by Spark Shark at the covered property. This includes qualifying equipment installed inside, outside, at the service entrance, or in a detached structure.

Without Active Shark Club Membership Two Years

Measured from the applicable installation-completion date.

With Active Shark Club Membership Five Years

Measured from the applicable installation-completion date.

Membership status is evaluated when the claim is made. A property owner may join Shark Club after installation and qualify for the five-year period when the claim falls within five years of completion. Membership must be active and in good standing. A lapsed or overdue member may restore good standing at claim time by bringing all past-due amounts and applicable late fees current. If the five-year Shark Club benefit is unavailable, standard two-year parts coverage remains available when its requirements are met.

For an approved parts claim, Spark Shark supplies the covered replacement part and performs the covered diagnosis and replacement labor. Manufacturer coverage is used first when available. Spark Shark’s in-house coverage may supply an otherwise eligible part that the manufacturer does not provide.

A replacement part supplied or approved by Spark Shark and installed by Spark Shark receives a renewed two-year or five-year period beginning on its newest installation date. Membership status is evaluated again if a future claim is made.

The owner is responsible for manufacturer-required product registration. Spark Shark can provide available product information and reasonable guidance, but manufacturer terms remain separate.

How To Make A Warranty Claim

  1. Contact Us. Call (405) 436-4776 or email theteam@sparkshark.com.
  2. Share The Basics. Provide the owner’s name, service address, current contact information, a description of the issue, and the invoice or job number when available.
  3. Let Us Evaluate It. Provide safe, reasonable access, cooperate with scheduling and diagnosis, and allow reasonable testing, diagnostic photographs, and inspection or retention of failed parts when needed.
  4. Receive The Decision. Spark Shark will explain whether the issue is covered, identify any owner-paid costs before billing, and schedule approved corrective work.

A tenant or property manager may coordinate the claim with the property owner’s authorization. An eligible spouse, family trust, or heir may provide ownership documentation before or at the time of the first claim. A qualifying commercial or non-owner-occupied successor may do the same.

Scheduling Standard

We aim to offer a warranty appointment within 48 hours after receiving a claim. This is an appointment-time goal, not a guaranteed completion deadline. Homeowner availability, major storms, emergencies, parts, permits, inspections, access requirements, and other conditions outside our control may affect timing.

Approved corrective work is scheduled in Spark Shark’s next available time slot. We will discuss the expected timeline and update it when parts, permits, inspections, or specialty access affect the schedule.

07

Dispatch, Diagnosis, And Owner-Paid Costs

Dispatch and service-call fees are waived for a requested warranty evaluation, even when the final issue is not covered.

At the appointment, the technician performs an initial evaluation. If deeper troubleshooting is needed, the technician will explain the diagnostic work, quote the applicable amount from the current Straightforward Pricing Guide based on the level of involvement, and obtain approval before continuing. The approved diagnostic amount is charged only when the final determination is that the issue is not covered. Diagnosis of a valid warranty claim is covered.

When a qualifying replacement part is covered by a manufacturer or the in-house parts warranty, Spark Shark provides that part. The property owner remains responsible for all other approved non-labor expenses, including:

  • Replacement parts or equipment.
  • Shipping and freight.
  • Permits and inspections.
  • Equipment rental, lift access, or specialty access.
  • Specialty subcontractors.
  • Upgrades beyond the original documented scope.

If an original part is obsolete or unavailable, Spark Shark provides the qualifying corrective installation labor. The owner pays for replacement equipment, required upgrades, and other approved non-labor expenses. Every owner-paid cost will be discussed and approved before Spark Shark incurs or bills it.

Access, Restoration, And Property Damage

The owner ordinarily pays non-electrical access and restoration involving drywall, paint, flooring, cabinetry, concrete, landscaping, or similar finishes. When management confirms that reasonable restoration was directly required because of negligent or clearly defective Spark Shark workmanship, Spark Shark will cover the reasonable restoration cost.

Other property-damage matters are evaluated separately by management and, when appropriate, insurance. They are not resolved as part of this limited warranty.

08

Modifications, Other Contractors, And Emergencies

Another person or company working at the property does not automatically cancel the entire warranty. Coverage is excluded only to the extent Spark Shark reasonably documents that later modification, tampering, an incompatible part, or third-party work caused or materially contributed to the claimed problem or prevents Spark Shark from reasonably determining whether the problem is covered. Unrelated Spark Shark work remains covered.

Spark Shark performs its own covered corrective work. We do not reimburse another contractor’s invoice or pay cash in place of performing the work unless applicable law requires another remedy.

Immediate Danger Comes First

For fire, smoke, sparking, shock, or another immediate threat, call 911 first. Contact the utility when appropriate. Shut off power only if it is safe. Do not wait for warranty processing.

If an immediate safety emergency reasonably requires another licensed electrician before Spark Shark can respond, the remaining claim may stay eligible when the owner contacts us promptly, preserves photographs, invoices, diagnostic records, and removed parts when possible, and allows Spark Shark to inspect. Emergency third-party charges are not reimbursed.

09

What Is Not Covered

This limited warranty does not cover:

  • Work outside the documented invoice, estimate, or approved change order.
  • Temporary repairs or work identified in writing as emergency make-safe work.
  • Customer-supplied parts, materials, or equipment, including Spark Shark labor associated with installing those items.
  • Routine maintenance and consumable items such as bulbs, batteries, filters, cleaning, testing, and scheduled generator service, unless the need was directly caused by incorrect Spark Shark installation.
  • Preexisting or unrelated wiring and equipment that Spark Shark did not work on.
  • Concealed conditions Spark Shark could not reasonably identify during the original work, unless Spark Shark caused the problem.
  • Failures caused or materially contributed to by misuse, neglect, accidental damage, pests, corrosion, water intrusion, abnormal voltage, utility failures, or a causally related failure to perform required maintenance.
  • Acts of God, including lightning, tornadoes, hail, flooding, earthquakes, extreme wind, and fires not caused by Spark Shark’s work.
  • New electrical-code, manufacturer, permit, or utility requirements adopted after compliant work was completed.
  • Conditions the owner declined to correct, or failures caused by a limited repair the owner selected. Only the work Spark Shark actually performed is covered.
  • Preferences involving appearance, sound, brightness, or performance when the installation matches the approved scope and functions correctly without an installation or part defect.
  • Failures caused or materially contributed to by correlated third-party modification, tampering, parts, or service.
  • Ordinary access and restoration expenses, except for the confirmed Spark Shark error described above.
  • Lost time, lost wages, lodging, spoiled food, loss of use, lost data, business interruption, or other incidental or consequential expenses, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
  • Claims made after the property leaves Spark Shark’s current published service area.
  • Work invoiced under any business name other than Spark Shark Electric.

Causal connection matters. Modification, maintenance failure, misuse, or another outside condition excludes a claim only to the extent Spark Shark reasonably documents that it caused or materially contributed to the failure. An unrelated condition does not cancel valid coverage.

Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so this limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including applicable rights involving personal injury, gross negligence, willful misconduct, or fraud.

10

Claim Decisions And Management Review

If Spark Shark determines that a claim is not covered, the property owner will receive a written explanation tied to these terms. When the decision relies on modification, misuse, maintenance, or another outside cause, Spark Shark will identify the reasonable evidence connecting that condition to the failure.

The owner may request a second review by management. Management will review the circumstances in good faith and work with the owner to reach an appropriate understanding based on the facts. Completion of management review concludes Spark Shark’s internal review process. It does not limit any right or remedy available under applicable law.

11

Current Terms, Oklahoma Law, And Other Rights

The terms published on this page when a claim is submitted are Spark Shark’s current warranty process, including for qualifying historical Spark Shark work. Spark Shark may revise this policy. No revision eliminates an express warranty or other legal right that had already attached to prior work where applicable law prohibits that result.

This warranty is governed by Oklahoma law. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state. Nothing in these terms waives or limits a right that cannot legally be waived.
